Tried this place 2nd time in Irvine after watching movie from Irvine Spectrum, located about 4km. Tried different balls and veggie. Noodles not so many varieties. The place is bit small, maybe just 8-10 tables. Soup a bit dirty. Also every purchase $25, will get expired herbal tea. We ate on 8/1/2026 and the free botol tea is Aug 2025. Omg

We ordered the Bone Broth Spicy Hot Pot through Uber Eats and selected seafood only. When the order arrived, everything seemed normal at first, but while drinking the soup, we found beef strips in it. Because of our religious beliefs, we cannot eat beef or pork. This was very upsetting and completely unacceptable, especially since we specifically ordered seafood only. Please be much more careful when preparing orders and avoid cross-contamination. We hope the restaurant will take this seriously and make sure it does not happen again.

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS RESTAURANT CHECK YOUR BANK CHARGE! I went to this restaurant and my total bill was $82.07. However, when I checked my bank account afterward, I noticed that the charge had been changed to $92.09 — an extra $10 that I did not authorize. What makes this even more frustrating is that I tried calling the restaurant multiple times to ask about the charge, but no one answered the phone.

This establishment mixed up their sauces at the condiment bar and I am ALLERGIC to one of their sauces. I asked for the manager several times and they pretended to not speak any english. Im their usual customer and they didnt show any concern or an attempt to do anything right. They said go write your review so that is what I am doing now! Horrible experience.

I love Zhangliang! I think it's the best malatang spot out of all the options in town. I love their selection. I usually go to the one in San Diego but was excited to try this location - I'd say each location has a few different options, but the number of options are the same. I personally think SD has more meat options, but this has way more vegetarian (i.e. veggies, tofu, mushrooms). The Irvine spot is open all day and until late, and tends to be less crowded.
